Tren penelitian penggunaan media sosial oleh perpustakaan untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan pengguna: analisis bibliometrika

Technological developments can encourage libraries to use social media as a promotional medium and strategy to increase user engagement with library services and activities. The purpose of this study is to describe research trends regarding the use of library social media to increase user engagement. Using quantitative research methods with a bibliometric approach, with Scopus as the source of data. The keywords are "Social Media" AND "Libraries" AND "User Engagement". The VOSviewer application is used to visualize the data. The results of the study show that research trends regarding the use of social media by libraries are mostly centered on topics such as Library, Study, Social Medium, User Engagement, and the use of platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. However, some topics are still rarely researched, and there are still research gaps in aspects such as the analysis of content types and the success rate of the use of social media for library promotion. The clusters formed are 4, namely related to the academic environment; relating to the production, categorization and dissemination of content; evaluation of social media use; and the use of social media as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic, These findings provide an initial overview of the direction of the development of studies in this field and encourage more in-depth follow-up research
